Someone once called rowing “boring” because of all the time we spend gaining fitness through land-based cardio work. That person never listened to my iPod. We do dedicate a lot of time to erging, running and lifting, but it’s rarely boring. I keep it fresh thanks to contributions from my teammates and by scouring the web for original upbeat workout-ready tunes. I would describe my taste as eclectic and varied, with penchants for vintage, disco and boogie beats, with healthy amounts of dream pop, tropical and synth, but always impeccable. No hard, speed or screamo metal here. If you need that to get through an erg, you may be doing it wrong.
