Ok party people, when you’re faced with with 40k+ on the erg in one day, it means that it’s time for Workout Jams. I admit some of these tracks are favorites that I’m carrying over from the summer. But it was a great summer, and we could use a little bit of sunshine on this soggy day in San Diego. There are some serious good-time anthems with remixes of Life of Dillon’s “Overload” (I actually dislike the original for working out, but the PF remix is gold) and Misterwives “Hurricane”. My 80s children will have the time of their lives with “Wildfire” from Scavenger Hunt and “Take it or Leave it” from Great Good Fine OK. For my people who can’t seem to get away from brooding British pop-rock groups you might need to hear Ten Fé. And… hey, I know the lyrics from “Hot” aren’t exactly ideal for working out, but the disco beats should help you get over it. Think of my teammate Tracy when you get to the last track, it’s her favorite song and a very special remix of a 1D hit. Even haters will believe.
Smile, it’s a beautiful Sunday in the Olympic year. Rock on.
