2012 USA Women’s Rowing Playlist

It’s that time of year again: I’ve gone around and asked all of my lovely teammates to contribute some of their current favorite songs for training and testing.  I’ve gone ahead and made this year’s post a little more colorful than last year’s video and I have to say this is one of my favorite projects I have worked on.  The content isn’t all original, but to get it all compiled I had to sort through all of my video archives… and what fun I had.  I have had a lot of great times with my Team over the past two years and I’ve managed to get a lot of them on film with the arrival of my little video camera in 2010.  It was a gift from my father, and what a great tool and gift it has been to be able to save so many fun and funny moments.  I spent a lot of the last few nights snickering in the corner as I worked out finding the right clips for the right people, and then I spent yesterday afternoon crying (?) after watching footage of our W4- racing in Bled this summer.  It’s been quite the project.
In any case, I hope you enjoy the 2012 edition of the USA Women’s fly beats!  We listened to it yesterday morning down at the boathouse for our erg workout, and with each new song that came on, the contributor had to raise their hand and claim their tracks while everyone else cheered.  It was really fun.  My Team is pretty awesome.
Posted just in time for today’s erg test!
