Good morning out there–it’s looking to be a beautiful start to the day here in Luzern, and racing is just about to start with the B Finals down on the Rotsee. I’m still safely tucked away in my hotel room counting down the minutes until I have to hit the road and get myself down to the course in order to start preparing for our A Final in the W4X today.
We came to the A Final through the Reps yesterday which, most people will say is never ideal, but I think in our case it wasn’t such a bad thing. Since we haven’t done a lot of racing together in this lineup, I think that getting another full 2k in as a crew only helped us to solidify our race plan and in ironing out any remaining kinks before the Final. We executed well yesterday, taking over the race in the 2nd 500 and rowing away from the field for the remainder of the piece. I think we all know what we want to do today, and what we need to do to make it happen. No one expects our race today to be easy–no one is going to give it to us–but we came here to fight.
W4X race will go down at 1:29PM/7:29AM EST
Lane 1: UKR
Lane 2: NZL
Lane 3: GER
Lane 4: GBR
Lane 5: USA
Lane 6: AUS

Good luck to all the USA Crews racing today.
Long Live the Dream,
