NSR 2: Good Morning!

Well hello there!
It was a beautiful day for racing this morning at Mercer (finally).  Gevvie and I came away with a win in the Time Trial by a margin of .03.  That’s some tight racing, but we’ll take it!  I was happy to see all of the USTC doubles packed in to the top 5… no surprise that the regatta will continue to unfold in dramatic fashion with narrow margins all weekend, just as it has been in practice over the past two weeks.
Some interesting tactics in the M2- this morning… produced what I’m referring to as the “hot heat” for race 5HA (6:33 pm EST) where 5 training center boats will be racing for four places in the semi-finals.  Someone is going to the C final tonight out of that group, but it should be a fun fight to watch.

On my way out this morning, I took an opportunity to snap a shot of some of the lightweights taking a dip in the lake to freshen up their legs after racing.  Aren’t they cute?

Racing tonight in W2X Heat 1 (Race 2HA) at 6:09pm EST.  Hope to see you there!

Long Live the Dream,

–MK
