Greetings from the lobby of the hotel in Poland. We had an overnight from EWR yesterday to Berlin and then took a 4 hour bus ride from the airport to Poznan. I’m about ready to not be sitting down indoors anymore, but am too tired to not go to bed in about 5 minutes. We’ve been at the hotel for a few hours now… I accidentally took a nap once we got to the room but it wasn’t long before teammates were knocking on our door to roust us up and out for a short workout. This was after Ellen unpacked her things into all the good space in the closet and the top drawer in the bureau when I was sleeping. Grr. We took a short running tour of Poznan to get our muscles warmed up and stretched out–also a mental workout as our conversation quickly transitioned from “If you could have a superpower, which one would you pick?” to “Are humans capable of genuine altruism or are all of our actions driven by selfishness?” Jessi Reel and I went on and on letting the evolution of the debate run its natural course while Ellen mostly just listened and laughed at us.
It’s good to be back in Europe, and I am looking forward to heading down to the course tomorrow to get rigged up and out on the water. I hate jet lag and I am going to do my best to be nice to innocent bystanders while it wears off in spite of feeling like I’ve got a crushing hangover.
The t-shirts are all out and about and people have been wearing them around today. They look great! Thanks to Dave at Sew Sporty for putting them all together and doing an amazing job with the printing. Lots of compliments so far!

Off to bed for now–ready to go to work in the morning.

Long Live the Dream,

–MK
